Appearance: William is the tallest of the children at 5'11", with dark eyes and his mother's blond hair. His hair is usually wavy, something he gets from his father, and is often untameable except with hair gel. His skin tends to be quite pale as he doesn't feel comfortable in direct sunlight, and he's capable of being sunburned. He tends to dress in white or black clothes, usually with a professional feel to his attire. His physique is slightly bulkier than his older brother's, with more muscle mass but less definiton.
Personality: William is a quiet young man who prefers his solitude, and can easily entertain himself. He's somewhat socially awkward, not making friends easily and often going along with what everyone else wants instead of asserting himself, though he has been known to do his own thing when he doesn't agree. Despite this, he has a strong sense of right and wrong, and will stand up for someone who is being bullied. If he gets into a conflict, he stands his ground until he either wins or is proven wrong. His favorite color is black.
History: Wil was the third of Clark and April's children, born two weeks premature. The pregnancy was very difficult on April, suggesting that future attempts might be extremely dangerous to her health and causing them to decide to adopt any further children. As a child, Wil was always very shy, playing alone if he was with children he didn't know, and preferring to stick with his siblings. He was somewhat sickly for his first five years of life, able to get along without drinking blood, but improved greatly once his parents realized he needed it as a supplement. When he was ten, the perceived shame of his condition caused him to withdraw further socially, in case anyone found out he was a 'freak.' Still, he managed to make a few close friends, who helped make his school years better. In school, he showed a great aptitude for essays and creative writing, submitting some pieces to occasional contests, and in high school he was recruited by the yearbook staff to help organize the yearbook pages. He also wrote a handful of articles for the school paper. After school, he wants to get a job as a technical writer, with a side hobby of writing poetry and short stories. He doesn't want to join the Justice League, but wouldn't mind helping out on night missions on occasion.

William doesn't like cows.

They're all right, of course. He's not afraid of them, and he feeds them when he has to, but he doesn't spend much time with them. Not in person, anyway. It's too weird, knowing that every morning for breakfast he has to drink some of their blood.

His parents are never so cruel that they make him collect it. The pitcher in the fridge is always full, with enough for himself and his mother both, and they don't talk about it much. It's just kind of there.

The worst kind of medicine, as far as he's concerned. Why couldn't he get his strength from the sun, like his older brother and sister? Why does it have to be blood? Every time, he hates himself for liking the taste of it, for wanting more. What kind of a monster is he?

He knows that Mom worries about him sometimes. And no matter what he thinks about himself, he can't see her as being a monster. Surely she doesn't like it, not like he does. He just assumes, and never asks. He's too embarrassed to say anything about it.

Still, he has his ways of getting his mind off that. Every day, he climbs the biggest tree he can find, and sits with his notebook, writing whatever comes to mind. Snippets of poems, prose, practicing his written Kryptonian, or just doodling whatever he's thinking about at the moment. He finds comfort in the words, and the shapes, letting his inner self come out on paper, saying the things he can't.
