Sharing secrets with Mom

William is fourteen when he finally realizes something is different. He's always known that he's different because of needing blood, like his mother does, and the alien aspects he gets from his father, but this is something else.

He returns from school, quiet as usual, but hoping that his siblings aren't around so he can talk to Mom alone.

"Of course I could." April knows that Clark would understand. And still love and accept his son. No matter what.

"Thanks. This is... kind of weird." He's used to keeping his feelings close, and not letting anyone else see. But things are confusing enough with realizing he's interested in other boys, without the urges to bite, that having both is too much for him to keep to himself.

"I know how hard this was for you." William was always more introverted. He kept to himself a lot more.

He nods a little, looking at his hands. "I figured you'd understand."

"Always." April always felt that she had more in common with William, than her two eldest. Jonathan and Laura had so much more in common with their dad, since they inherited some of the Krypton abilities.

She and William share the vampire traits. It is their thing.

"I am always here to talk to about anything."

[william_kent]

He looks up at her. "I appreciate that." And he feels fortunate to have such kind and caring parents to look after him.

[slayers_desire]

"I appreciate you coming to me with your questions." April feels fortunate to have all her children in her life.
